Parley × Promtly
Privacy policy
Effective September 23, 2026 · Reise Tools
This policy describes the Parley Android companion as it works today. The in-app demo and a paired computer have different data paths.
Demo mode
The reviewer demo runs on your phone. Sample tasks and changes are saved locally in the app. Demo mode does not connect to a workstation or run a coding agent.
Connected workspaces
If you choose to pair a computer, Parley stores its address, an encrypted device credential, drafts, queued ideas and messages, and task snapshots on your phone. It sends ideas and messages to the computer you paired over HTTPS and receives task status and conversations. Each paired computer owns its own workspace. Parley does not currently provide a hosted account or shared cloud task store.
Other services
A connected computer may send your task prompts and related project context to the coding provider that you configure on that computer. Today's private connection option uses Tailscale, which handles its own network access according to its terms and privacy policy. Voice entry opens the speech service installed on your device; that service may process what you dictate. You can edit the transcription before sending it. Parley itself does not keep the raw audio.
Permissions and sharing
Parley uses network access to reach paired computers and background network status to retry saved work. It can restart scheduled sync after a reboot. Task notifications are optional. The app has no ads or analytics SDK and does not sell your task data.
Retention and your choices
Uninstalling Parley removes its local app data from the phone. Work already delivered to a computer remains in that computer's workspace. To revoke a phone, use the paired computer's device controls. For questions or help with data removal, email support@carin.codes. Parley does not currently create a Parley account.
